Claremont and Shoosmiths have been awarded the prestigious ‘Fit-out of a Workplace’ award at this year’s British Council for Offices (BCO) Northern Awards, for the successful delivery of Shoosmiths’ new Manchester office in the newly built XYZ Building in Spinningfields.
The Claremont team delivered the adaptable 32,000 sq ft office for Shoosmiths in 2017, which is home to 280 staff and provides a variety of agile, tech-enabled and activity-based work spaces. Particular standout features include the impressive library, the living walls of the cafeteria area and a signature spiral staircase that provides a focal point in the main reception.
The Claremont team and Shoosmiths scooped the title in recognition of Claremont’s creative response to the brief, attention to detail and build-quality. Ann Clarke, Joint Managing Director of Claremont said: “BCO awards are highly coveted and we are thrilled to have had one of our most challenging and rewarding projects recognised in this way.
“The win really is testament to the strength of our working relationship with Shoosmiths and also the creativity, expertise and attention to detail of our project team. We are thrilled.”
The BCO awards celebrate top quality design and functionality and provides a benchmark for workplace excellence. For more information, see their website.
