Brainwave, the charity dedicated to helping children with brain injury and developmental delay achieve their full potential, has been selected as Claremont Group Interior’s charity for the next 12 months.
Ann Clarke, joint managing director of Claremont Group Interiors said: “We raised money for Autism Initiatives throughout 2013 and our team felt especially passionate about the cause because they’re active in our local community here in Birchwood. Brainwave is also a local charity – with a centre here in Birchwood as well as ones in Essex and Somerset, close to our Bristol office. We wanted to keep the local connection and support a facility that is doing hugely important work.
“There’s quite a strong tradition of fundraising in our business and staff breakfasts, bake-sales and raffles are very much part of our culture. We’re planning a few large scale fundraising events for the summer too and are sure we’ll make a very worthwhile contribution to Brainwave’s efforts.”
Claremont has kick-started the fundraising by sponsoring a duck in the Manchester Duck Race andEmily Sandwith, who’s been with Claremont for the last six years, is also taking on a challenge of her own, running the Wilmslow Half Marathon on 23rd March.
