Claremont nominates two charities for 2017.

March 13, 2017

In 2017, Claremont has chosen to support two charities. Our team in the North West has nominated Coffee4Craig, a charity that provides support and outreach services to homeless people in Manchester, Salford and Cardiff. With over 50 volunteers, the charity operates a food bank, 4 street kitchens and a network that supports and helps over 200 people each week, helping to find housing and provide much needed help to some of society’s most vulnerable individuals. For more information, visit the charity website.

Our team in London and the South West has nominated the Julian Trust, which provides a night shelter for homeless people in Bristol. Staffed by volunteers, the shelter offers food for around 100 people and 18 beds as well as a bathroom, toilets and shower facilities. The charity has been running for over 30 years, and has helped countless people since it was founded in 1986.

The night shelter is open five nights every week throughout the year, where a warm welcome and a hot meal awaits homeless people and rough sleepers. On most nights it is used by between 80 to 100 guests, who are served dinner between 9.30pm and 10.30pm. The team also provides a laundry service and also aims to provide clean alternative clothes where needed. Other services available include a regular weekly visit from St John Ambulance and St Mungos Outreach workers. For more information, visit the charity website.
