The charity team smashes its target.

December 15, 2016

This year, we nominated Warrington Disability Partnership as our chosen charity. With over 24 years’ experience of developing and delivering mobility and independent living services, the charity’s aim is to support disabled people and people living with long term health conditions. The charity has met with international acclaim, with a team of over 50 staff and nearly 200 volunteers who believe that information, advice and guidance are the main keys to independent living.

The Claremont charity team set itself a target of £10,000 for the year, which it went about raising through a wide variety of events. Every month, our dress down breakfasts have raised much-needed funds, not to mention the annual highlight that is the hotly contested Hallowe’en pumpkin carving competition! Our flagship event this summer saw the team take on a gruelling 42-mile canoe trek down the River Wye, in which more than one person failed to stay dry.

We’ve already smashed our target, but the final numbers won’t be announced until after our Christmas raffle and Christmas Jumper Day, in which the team makes a final push for donations. Furthermore, a special thanks goes to our Head of Marketing James Bradshaw-Weaver, who donated his late mother’s mobility scooter to the charity.
