Claremont has been shortlisted for the prestigious Commercial Fit-out of the Year award at this year’s Insider North West Property Awards.
Claremont’s delivery of a new £3.4m workspace for United Utilities’ 700-strong workforce in Warrington secured its place in the shortlist.
The 500,000 sq ft two storey building has been transformed into a collaborative, inspiring workspace that opens up lines of communication and creates more flexible spaces to accommodate future expansion. Staff can now enjoy an open environment with a plethora of informal meeting spaces and a series of sky pods, which provide a visual connection between the two floors.
Claremont’s Joint Managing Director Ann Clarke said, “To be shortlisted is an honour, particularly alongside some other prestigious north west projects, but to win would be the ultimate recognition and praise for the hard work of our team.”
Angela Shallcross from United Utilities said, “Claremont understood every aspect of our brief from the outset and were quick to recognise the importance of a collaborative, inspiring workspace for our staff and visitors. They delivered that in spades, both on time and to budget.
“We asked for a work environment that would support the complexity of our operations and our changing needs. Claremont has built flexibility into the very heart of this design and has transformed Haweswater House from a tired, impractical space into an environment that will keep working hard for United Utilities for many years to come.”
The winner will be announced at a sell-out gala dinner on Thursday 12th May at Manchester Central.
