The way we work and the strategies, environments and technologies that support it are undergoing a dramatic revolution. Leading innovators across a breadth of industry sectors are changing the way they work to become more profitable, productive, adaptable, resilient, and cost-effective.
It’s not one single factor that creates this transformation, but the interaction of a number of innovative approaches to organisational effectiveness:
Agile working – The ability of an organisation and the individuals and teams within it to flex and adapt fluidly to an ever-changing market, to rapidly deploy resources to meet priority goals, and to make the best use of the available resources to accelerate productivity
Workspace technology – The opportunity provided by workspace technology to enhance connectivity, communication and information sharing, to enable teams to collaborate seamlessly across locations and devices, driving business processes and performance
Flexible working – The power of new workspace technologies to enable flexible working by extending the workspace beyond the physical, empowering people to work when, where and how they want, as well as bringing people together across diverse locations to collaborate more quickly and cost effectively, driving business processes
The war for talent – Think creatively about how to attract and retain the best people, leveraging the virtual workspace to eliminate geographical limitations to recruitment, and providing environments that empower people to work in ways that best align their working styles, professional ambitions and individual personal requirements
Workspace wellbeing – The ways an organisation can remodel itself to maximise the potential of its most important asset, its people, by supporting them to perform at their best through environments that increase engagement, collaboration, loyalty and wellbeing, enabling people to achieve more, to develop personally and professionally
