Claremont was asked to assist MAG in moving from its former Sackville Street office to the new 8,500 sq ft office at Bruntwood’s South Central on the corner of Peter Street and Deansgate in Manchester.
Claremont was tasked with creating a dynamic, exciting and thoughtful interior that would increase meeting and collaboration space and improve communication, while also telling the story of MAG’s humanitarian work.
A flexible and cost-effective space was requested to cater for group events and staff presentations.
The finished office is an open-plan and contemporary space which brings MAG’s 62-strong team onto one floor. Visitors are welcomed into a large reception area which also doubles up as an effective staff presentation and events space when required and flows into the main open plan office space. Glass partitioning helps to maximise natural light and ensure a bright and open feel.
Bringing all staff into one shared-space, the office supports greater internal communication and also offers sufficient room for growth. It’s this focus on flexibility which has ensured the 8,500 sq ft office delivers for Mines Advisory Group both now and in the future. A central kitchen provides an area for staff to relax and socialise and a suite of meeting rooms provides ample space for multiple meetings, both internal and external.
MAG’s identity is brought to life with a monochrome colour palette punctuated with the pillar box red of the brand. Powerful photography of the charity’s humanitarian work has been used as striking artwork and the logo adorns glass partitioning to create a sense of place and privacy.
Claremont provided the office interior design, fit-out and furniture for the new office, completing the project in six weeks.
