Claremont was asked to refurbish some of the school’s supporting facilities including a complete refurbishment and extension of the IT support office, refurbishing two classrooms, the staff common room, creating a new coffee bar and delivering a multifunctional dining area for use by students, staff and the local community alike.
The Claremont team worked hard to maintain and maximise the school’s historic features and delivered high quality, specialist restoration work within a very tight programme. The new staff room has been given a ‘club style’ interior in keeping with the building and makes use of strong country and antique influences with wood panelling and antique furniture.
In the dining hall the original vaulted ceiling has been exposed to show the building’s character and create a strong, visual ‘wow’ factor. A fully addressable LED lighting scheme has also been installed, along with a complete audio visual system, which is ideal for school presentations, speeches and performances.
