Handover & Support

It is imperative that we get our client’s premises up and running on-time – usually in order to assist them to maintain continuity of business. This means that Claremont’s Project Team becomes highly involved with the client’s facilities team to ensure that at practical completion everything aligns with the client’s requirements.

 

Practical Completion & Handover

A ‘Practical Completion’ meeting is held with the client and Contracts Manager in order to handover the project to the client.  The Client Relations Manager, wherever possible, will normally attend all of these meetings. The procedure would be to inspect the final works and make a list of any snagging items which need to be addressed. The project at this point is handed over to Client Relations. This is to ensure that the snagging issues are addressed, any variation are completed. This also gives the client one point of contact for any defects or warranty issues which may come to light. Sometimes further snagging issues or variations may not be identified until the client takes occupation of the space.

 

Project Review

Once the client has had time to ‘settle in’ we will conduct a post-project review. This meeting gives us the opportunity to ask the client ‘Did we do what we said we would do?’ If we didn’t then we want to know about it so that we can improve.

Following practical completion and final handover, Claremont will continue to assist, wherever possible, to ensure that our clients quickly and efficiently settle into their new workspace. Our Client Relations Manager has the responsibility for maintaining and developing ongoing relationships with our clients – addressing any ongoing needs – so that we can continue to work together in partnership.
