O2 case study
The challenge was to rationalise the O2 property portfolio by refurbishing all major sites in line with the O2 design concept. We needed to design, develop and interpret the O2 corporate design to a practical and deliverable concept within agreed budgets allowing an increased head count at all sites to allow property disposal.
Solution
Working with the O2 property teams, we identified sites suitable for refurbishment which through good design had the potential for increased occupancy, achievable in a cost-effective way. Delivery and agreement of a standard specification for refurbishment of all sites that was accessible, practical and cost effective was undertaken in different buildings with a variety of business functions.
Results
- A phased undertaking of the fit out, management and furniture supply to a number of sites in line with timescales, allowing O2 least operational disruption.
- A reduced building portfolio, meaning reduced property costs.
- Greater user satisfaction at all sites, measured by the building managers for each area, with reduced incidence of problems / issues for building managers arising as a result of ageing building stock, furniture, and so on.
