HP Bulmer case study
Claremont was appointed by the cider maker HP Bulmer to provide a number of services to facilitate a shift from a cellular office environment at their head office to one that is more open and collaborative. Bulmers found its traditional setup was seriously hindering the expansion and communication between working teams. Project Jericho was established to 'take down the walls' of the traditional environment.Solution
It was resolved to refurbish all three floors fully and form an enclosed internal atrium from the existing external courtyard to create an informal breakout and meeting space, in addition to designing a new relocated entrance. We facilitated workshops to promote the cultural shift and changes in working practices. Included in the refurbishment process was the replacement of all heating, air-conditioning, power, voice and data over the contract period of 18 months.Result
Claremont provided a full construction management service to implement the new scheme. This involved a phased approach allowing for the decanting of departments with the construction work taking place while other areas were under full occupation."Claremont displayed great empathy and commitment to Bulmers' desire to create a new working environment, which would stimulate and complement our organisational and cultural needs."- Cait Mercer, HP Bulmer Ltd
