Clarke Willmott case study

Rapidly expanding law firm Clarke Willmott wished to relocate to George's Square, Bristol; the Practice was also going through a re-branding exercise to introduce their corporate strap line of "More Understanding".

This project needed to demonstrate the new brand identity and provide a contemporary environment supporting the working practices of the staff and the desire to recruit and retain talented individuals whilst creating a welcoming environment for clients.

Solution

A new reception, atrium area and client suite were designed in addition to the open plan offices and a new staff café facility. Within the client suite are 12 meeting rooms and a 70+ seater seminar room with leading-edge technology which breaks out into the atrium. The fee earning teams sit in open plan including all partners, these areas include some quiet working spaces and resource areas The staff café includes a professional catering facility and a 'heat and go zone'.

Result

The new environment has been described as professional, productive & exciting, and conveys 'More Understanding'.

David Sedgwick, Managing Partner says:

"Our new offices combine a very pleasant working environment with very flexible functional space. We are not a typical law firm and we did not want typical offices. We wanted space that was capable of adapting as quickly as we change our working practices and which would accommodate our plans for growth."
