Beachcroft case study
Beachcroft is taking the major part of the space in Portwall House, a £26m prime new development in Bristol and will occupy the ground, first & second floor.
- GROUND FLOOR 11,862sqft
- FIRST FLOOR 39,300sqft
- SECOND FLOOR 38,632sqft
The building has been designed with an atrium void and this allows us to develop the concept for better communication between all the staff.
Beachcroft is currently in two buildings, spread over various floors with differing systems in each building. A key driver has been the desire for the fee earners to be one location and to be more visible within the business to improve communication and interaction.
The concept design includes a "Village Green" providing a focal point for the staff, and a Journey line will guide the staff up and through the building passing by the cafe/deli and through the Village green. The positioning and the placement of the key elements of the design will ensure that as people pass through they can be involved and interact together.
In an increasingly competitive market it is essential that the Practice has all the facilities they require to work effectively, the brief therefore includes a library, client suite, a cafe/deli bar, informal internal meeting spaces and an open plan office space. Printing and reprographics hubs, service pods and refreshment hubs will also be provided throughout the spaces.
We also have identified a space allocation strategy reflecting the increased storage levels required.
