Our charity canoers take on the river Wye.

July 1, 2016

Claremont’s intrepid explorers are at it again  – this time rowing 42 miles down the River Wye in aid of charity.

A brave team of 31 from Claremont’s Warrington office will row 42 miles over two days to raise money for Claremont’s charity of the year, Warrington Disability Partnership.

The team has rowed for charity before, helping to raise more than £6000 for local charity Brainwave in 2014.  Keen to set themselves an even bigger challenge this year, the team has extended the route by nine miles, which means more than 12 hours of rowing.

Emma Riley is one of Claremont’s brave rowers.  She said: “This will be a real test for all of us and it’s definitely all about team work.   We’re expecting a lot of sore arms and backs but we all relish the challenge and look forward to doing our bit for charity too.”
