Shoosmiths become first occupiers at Waterfront House

To accommodate a rapidly expanding client base, the Nottingham office of national law firm Shoosmiths employed Claremont Group Interiors, the largest commercial design and fit out company outside of London, to deliver a total turnkey project for their new offices in Nottingham.

Claremont, who have worked previously with Shoosmiths at their Reading, Milton Keynes and Solent offices, were brough into the project at an early stage, carrying out feasibility studies on four different buildings before choosing Waterfront House as an ideal location to accommodate the law firm's ambitious expansion plans. Situated prominently within the city's Waterfront Plaza development, Shoosmiths became the first occupiers of the new building, taking 31,500 square foot over four floors.

The innovative design and layout of the office reflects not only the company's corporate standard, but also incorporates a flavour of Nottingham's client base and history. With a vibrant colour scheme and modern furnishings the overall effect makes for a stunning workspace for employees and clients alike.

Deborah Gordan Brown, who heads up Shoosmiths' Nottingham office, said:

Currently occupied by 87 employees, another floor has been allocated for future expansion, to allow for another 40 staff members.
