Published on 19 Sep 2007
Claremont Group Interiors are one of three firms to have been short-listed for the 2007 British Institute of Facilities Management Awards, in the category of 'Impact on Organisation and Workplace'.
The largest office interior design company outside London, Claremont were selected for their work with Bristol legal firm Bevan Brittan, having been able to demonstrate in their entry how their facilities management strategies improved people's productivity by increasing the efficiency and pleasure of work.
Claremont's brief from Bevan Brittan involved re-developing the legal firm's flagship building due to the floor plate being insufficient in size to accommodate ambitious growth plans.
Mike Gardner, Managing Director of Claremont, said:
"To fulfill our brief, Claremont came up with the solution of 'filling in' the C shaped building to create additional office space and a striking atrium feature. Claremont also provided a full interior design package, a staff restaurant facility, an extensive client suite and office accommodation for the practice.
It was an extremely challenging project, with the result equally rewarding. We are delighted to have been short-listed for this award, which demonstrates the importance of office design in relation to productivity."
The winner of the award will be announced on October 8th at an awards cermony in London.
