Claremont Group Interiors has been appointed as fit-out contractor by Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, for the company’s move to its new offices in Quorum Business Park.

The Convergys space measures 50,000 square feet situated over three floors that can accommodate 450 employees. Claremont handled all aspects of the fit-out, including adjustment to the mechanical and electrical infrastructure and the creation of client specific team areas on different floors.

Work on the project started in November 2009, with Claremont working alongside project managers from CBRE and Convergys project teams based in the UK, US and Hungary.

Mark Smith, Director of European Operations for Convergys, said, “Claremont offered us a fully integrated contracting service that encompassed all aspects of this project. Our employees will benefit from this vibrant new work space that balances both form and function while also maximizing the ‘green’ aspects of the building.”

Located four miles north of Newcastle city centre, Quorum Business Park currently is the largest speculative office development in England. When completed, the park will include 450,000 square feet of new office space, tennis courts, a five-a-side football pitch, shops, restaurant, nursery and hotel.

Philip Westwood, Associate Director for Claremont Group Interiors, said, “The Convergys office space at Quorum Business Park has been a project of real magnitude for us and we’re delighted to have been taken on board to do the fit-out.”
