Jones Lang LaSalle: Manchester
Location: Chancery Place, Manchester
Sector: Property
Project Size: 7,792 sq ft
Project Value: £300k
The Brief
Having decided to take the 10th floor of the 105,000 sq ft Chancery Place development, Claremont were appointed to undertake design and fit-out works, the key aspects of which comprised:
- Welcoming new reception with strong brand identity;
- Business lounge to encourage clients and visitors to use the office’s facilities;
- Maximisation of available floor space;
- Light, open plan office space able to accommodate 76 workstations;
- Two executive boardroom suites;
- A variety of breakout and touchdown spaces;
Claremont started work immediately upon practical completion of the main building works in order to minimise delay.
The Solution
The design concept recognised the importance of the existing brand guidelines established by JLL, whilst working with the triangular building shape to create features of the curved corners. The reception, with its bright, clean lines, leads to a waiting area and client business lounge. The choice of light , bright finishes such as limestone, coupled with breathtaking views across Manchester city centre, creates a stunning first impression. Warmth is introduced into the environment with full-height walnut doors and red JLL branding in the informal breakout space. Workstation clusters are planned around the perimeter to maximise natural light, whilst centralised high-density storage effectively reduces the amount of free-standing storage. The fit-out also employed a combination of new and existing furniture as a cost-effective solution.
The Result
