
Fenland District Council case study
Claremont carried out the design consultancy programme and subsequently won the project to implement the refurbishment works by Easter 2005.
Solution
Claremont designed an innovative scheme design for each of the four high street centres, called 'Fenland @ Your Service, bringing together the new identity with the provision of district council services in a welcoming environment.
At their local shop, customers can now access information on council services, speak directly to a trained advisor and also make council payments.
The shops have been specifically designed to provide a customer-friendly environment that includes a main reception, seating areas, individual customer advisor points, an internet access area, meeting rooms and public conveniences.
Result
The first two of the four customer centres opened in January 2005 and the call centre was completed in November 2004. The refurbishment of the council chamber was completed in March 2005 along with the other two high street sites.
