Cheshire Building Society case study
The challenge was to provide Cheshire Building Society with a branch for the future. The brief required the use of new technology to be integrated within the branch, such as Wireless PCs, Tablet PCs, internet access for the public, and equipment to provide instant access for balance enquiries.
Facilities to provide education and information within a customer lounge was also needed. Within the design specification, CGI needed to consider the impact of working on a Grade II listed building within a conservation area. A solution that satisfied both the client and worked to enhance the historical feature of the building was necessary.
Solution
Taking into consideration the clients' needs combined with planning issues, and the need for new technological integration, the scheme reflects the corporate brand and the operational necessity that the client required. The overall result gives the Cheshire Building Society (to quote the retail operation directors comments) "a magnificent branch".
Result
Cheshire Building Society now has a branch for the future without the need to be concerned with fashionable identity. This sets a new level for growth for the branch. A great result not only for CGI, but one that in this day gives the client a manageable facility that can develop as new technologies and trading develop.
