"The Claremont team really impressed with their attention to detail and high-specification finish, particularly in relation to the acoustic chamber, plus their initial design concept really captured who we are as a business. " Steve Cliffe, CEO

The brief

Claremont’s brief was to create an innovative and tech-enabled work environment that would support Ultrahaptics’ rapidly growing team in the delivery of ‘feeling without touching (technology which creates tactile sensations for gesture control and provide sample tech-ready spaces for product demonstrations, laboratory work, testing and open plan working too.

The results

Claremont has created a dynamic office with highly-specialised components to ensure it meets Ultrahaptics’ unique operational and high-tech needs.

As Ultrahaptics already works with some of the world’s largest brands, a well equipped and statement client space was considered vital. Claremont has designed a simple and modern boardroom that keeps the focus on the technology and allows easy and quick connectivity.

Claremont also designed and built a unique acoustic chamber to enable Ultrahaptics to undertake product testing in its new environment. Using a specialist stand-alone booth, built within partitioning, Claremont’s bespoke design ensures that exterior vibrations do not interfere with testing and gives Ultrahaptics the precision it needs.

The whole workspace includes a reception area, internal meeting rooms with folding walls, a large communal kitchen which also provides a creative breakout space, an open plan office to accommodate 46 people, five individual offices and the laboratory and acoustic chamber. Huddle spaces provide small meeting zones within the main open plan floor plate and feature large screens, write-on surfaces and moveable seating.

The space has been designed with the widespread use of casting technology in mind. Employees and visitors can connect their devices to presentation equipment and more, with ease. Room booking systems and Apple TV have been installed too.

Claremont also delivered the preliminary Cat A fit-out of the space for the landlord.

The Claremont team really impressed with their attention to detail and high-specification finish, particularly in relation to the acoustic chamber, plus their initial design concept really captured who we are as a business.

Since moving in, compliments about the new office have been nonstop and we’ve had a fantastic reaction from our team and clients. The new office has quickly become home for Ultrahaptics.
