"We were looking for a company to add flair and design to this project. The aim is to give our staff the opportunity to find new ways of working and challenge existing norms in terms of office space." Alex Pettifer, Director of Estates and Facilities

The brief

To meet Sheffield Hallam University’s educational needs and aspirations, the refurbishment needed to be of the highest quality. This included the provision of several flexible teaching rooms to accommodate large and small classes.

It was important for the design to attract students to use the facilities and encourage them to interact with each other. Furthermore, it was essential for the works to be completed before the start of the new academic year.

The results

Several teaching rooms were created to house different sized classes. Informal breakout spaces with soft seating are located outside the teaching rooms on each floor to encourage collaboration between students.

Each area is flexible and can be easily reconfigured to suit the needs of different groups.

We were looking for a company to add flair and design to this project. The aim is to give our staff the opportunity to find new ways of working and challenge existing norms in terms of office space.
