"Claremont has created a space that we’re proud to show off to clients and partners, as well as one that our staff are pleased to walk into every morning. The function, look and feel of the offices all reflect our aim to create a modern, bright and professional space that will power the productivity of the business." Brian Atherton, Director

The brief

Redwood required a complete overhaul of its office environment, bringing it in line with the company’s vision for a more modern, flexible and collaborative workspace. The new space needed to make it easier for staff to communicate and work together, both in the office space and in various social spaces around the building.

Brand was also important to the company, with the need to create an environment that would reflect the company’s bright, forward-thinking persona to clients, partners and visitors to the building. The reception area in particular was singled out as a key area for creating the right first impression.

The results

Claremont has created a light, airy space that reflects Redwood’s brand personality. Glass partitions create a sense of openness, while dividing the space into different areas to accommodate Redwood’s different teams. The suite of meeting rooms has been overhauled, with audio visual capabilities to enable multimedia presentations.

The reception area was the biggest single element of the project, with a glass external extension extending the space beyond its previous boundaries. Building this was the main challenge for Claremont in delivering the project, but the on-site team took it in their stride, creating a spacious, modern reception area that gives a smart and professional first impression for visitors to the site.

The offices are strongly branded throughout, with furniture and finishes using Redwood’s signature red palette. Manifestations on the glass partitions reflect the textile industry, complemented by a bespoke, colourful wall graphic in the dining area. Overall, the space is welcoming, meeting Redwood’s aim of creating an office that is a pleasure to spend time in.

The work was carried out while the client was in occupation, which meant careful planning to create the minimum amount of disruption to the day-to-day running of the business.
