"Claremont understood our vision and our brief, and provided some touches that we hadn’t expected to create an outstanding working environment." Andy Robinson, Business Services Manager

The brief

Gazprom Energy required an open plan environment for 140 staff, incorporating staff breakout areas to enable its workforce to socialise and bond. It also required an impressive reception area and several client meeting rooms, in order to provide a professional and welcoming space for clients and visitors.

One of the touchstones for the project team was the idea that the new offices should be somewhere that staff would want to bring their friends as well as their clients, and this was something the Claremont team needed to keep in mind throughout the delivery of the project.

The results

The main office area is interspersed with breakout areas, including a bespoke huddle space that integrates a furniture pod with a digital screen to allow teams to share ideas and collaborate away from the bustle of the office.

Meeting rooms are fully integrated with visual communications technology to facilitate better communication with staff at other sites, with clients and with remote workers. The main boardroom contains audio visual presentation technology, seamlessly integrated with the environment to allow staff to deliver engaging media-rich presentations at the touch of a button.

The staff canteen and kitchen areas have been designed to provide a welcoming, convivial atmosphere to encourage Gazprom Energy’s teams to bond and socialise away from the formality of the office environment. The main canteen area contains sofa pods alongside more traditional chairs and tables, and makes the most of the view with floor to ceiling windows revealing the Manchester skyline.

Claremont created a space that feels like home for Gazprom Energy. It combines the principles of agile workplace design to foster greater collaboration and productivity with Claremont’s creative flair for selecting the right furniture, layouts and colour schemes to create a welcoming environment that the organisation is proud to inhabit.

Claremont understood our vision and our brief, and provided some touches that we hadn’t expected to create an outstanding working environment. As well as looking great and feeling welcoming, the design has some key features that have boosted productivity and helped to take us forward as a business.
