The Brief   
Working alongside Fletcher Architects, Claremont was tasked to complete the design and fit-out of the reception, boardroom, restaurant, kitchens and laboratories for the
bespoke 138,500 sq ft building. Claremont were asked to create an environment which would reflect the organisation’s success and status at corporate level, and which would offer added overall flexibility for the organisation’s office, R&D, manufacturing and warehousing functions. With the added challenge of designing the building around the relocation of great crested newts, the building is also one of the first in the country to utilise “solarwall”; a renewable energy source that features perforated cladding to capture the sun’s warmth and supplement the building’s heating system.

The Solution  
Claremont worked alongside Fletcher to formulate a solid brief with the Board of Directors, whilst retaining the base build specification. Value for money was an important consideration with the key areas being identified as the reception, the second floor conference room and executive suite and the laboratory areas. AMS is a rapidly growing business and the open plan spaces were designed to allow for 50% expansion of staff.
‘Viewpoint’, Claremont's specialist AV division, provided a cohesive solution with digital signage in the reception area, a fully AMX controlled boardroom and projectors and smartboards in the meeting rooms. Claremont provided all the partitions, furniture, signage and graphics with the laboratory areas installed by a specialist.

The Result
The Directors and staff are delighted with the new offices, in particular with the triple-height reception area which is finely balanced to project the correct image to the outside world. The graphics and branding lend a consistency throughout the space and the project has been implemented exactly as per the design concept.
