Claremont Group Interiors aims to set a higher standard in the commercial interiors industry and find a balance between environmental impact, social well-being and stakeholder values.
Since 2009, Claremont Group Interiors is successful in achieving the accreditation as a 'Planet Positive' certified business. Working in partnership with Planet Positive, which are industry leaders in carbon management and consultancy, we have measured our carbon footprint and have committed to reducing the carbon emissions associated with our business operations on an annual basis. In 2010/11 Claremont was able to reduce the total carbon footprint per employee by over 11 percent and the carbon footprint caused by building emissions from 39 to 21 percent based on the overall carbon footprint figure.
Through a continued sustainable business strategy, Claremont is committed to reducing its environmental footprint, both for ourselves as an organisation, as well as for our employees, customers and for the communities that we serve.

About Planet Positive
Planet Positive is an international certification and environmental management system for businesses, products, buildings and services. Planet Positive certification signifies that a business is committed to reducing carbon emissions and improving sustainability.
Planet Positive goes beyond compliance into proof of action, behaviour change and encouraging businesses to support local and global sustainability projects. Planet Positive has established a Foundation to develop, promote and fund sustainability projects locally, nationally and internationally.
Planet Positive’s online Business Certification process is designed specifically for SMEs and removes the need for consultant-based assessments, making sustainability fast, simple and cost-effective.
Based in the UK and North America, Planet Positive enables companies of all sizes to enhance their environmental credentials while driving similar change throughout their supply chain. A business, product, building or event is Planet Positive if it has measured and verified a net positive impact on the planet, its ecosystems and its people. Business, products, buildings, events or individuals carrying this mark are immediately identified as good for the planet.
The boundaries, methodologies and reduction criteria to achieve Planet Positive certification are laid out in the Planet Positive Protocol. This aligns with the best international standards in carbon measurement, reduction and investment for businesses, events, products and people. It is aligned with the World Resources Institute (WRI) and World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBSCD) GHG Protocol, PAS 2050 (which builds on ISO 14040 and ISO 14044), BS 8901 and PAS 2060. In several instances Planet Positive chooses to go beyond these standards in terms of measurement, reduction and offsetting beyond neutral. Our protocol is reviewed quarterly by an independent Technical Committee to ensure that it maintains and upholds best global practice and transparency.
